b. 12 August 1902, TX – d. 22 September 1967, Putnam Co., TN, md on the 7th of February 1926 to Safrona Lee "Frona" (Simons) Bilyeu, b. 1 August 1903, Putnam Co., TN– d. 23 January 1986, Putnam Co., TN, d/o Jeremiah Simons (1872-1957) & Pirlie Lee Kinnaird (1885-1965).

Local Boy In Naval Hospital:
George P. "Buddy" Bilyeu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Powell Bilyeu, is in the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA.
His condition is reported not serious and he is expected to be back on his ship on its return froma run in the
north Atlantic. Bilyeu has been stationed with his brother, Jimmy, on the USS Oberlin, now in cargo and
transportation service.
George has been in the service for 26 months and Jimmy for 31 months. Both volunteered for Naval Service.
