She lived most of her life in Granite, she started school at Sweetwater and moved to Retrop. Retrop consolidated with Lone Wolf where she attended 5th and 6th grade, for 7th grade she attended Granite and later went to Ocina for one year.
Eloise was a professional seamstress and sewed for Kellwood in Altus and then became a trainer and later worked at Elk Manufacturing Company pants factory where she became a line supervisor.
Eloise married Travis Brooks at the Church of Christ Preachers study in Sayre, Oklahoma on June 1, 1957 they were married for 48 years before his passing. She later married Don Blevins at Granite Church of Christ service on Sunday night, April 27, 2008.
She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ attending at Granite and Duncan. She enjoyed attending Bluegrass festivals, traveling, sewing, cooking and playing cards with friends, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Eloise is survived by her husband Donnel Blevins of the home, sons Gregory Don and wife Tammy, Raymond Todd and wife Marcia, daughter Rowena Kathleen Smith, grandchildren Amy Lynn Smith, Erica Nicole Smith, Kirby Megan Brooks, Brady Alan Brooks, Conner Ryan Brooks, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Donald Brooks, daughter Cindy Kaye Brooks and eight siblings.
Public Viewing for Eloise will begin Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home located at 1400 W. Main in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. 580-846-9018.
Services for Eloise are scheduled for Friday, October 14, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at the Granite Church of Christ in Granite, Oklahoma. Ken Hamilton and Ron Stough will officiate.
Interment will follow at Granite City Cemetery.
