Thomas Jared Denkers, age 84, passed away December 16, 2001 in Salt Lake City.
He was born Feb. 23, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bernardus and Letitia Phillips Denkers. Thomas married Faye Anderson on May 28, 1937 in Pocatello, Idaho, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a strong testimony of his Lord and Savior. He served a Mission with his wife in Texas and Arkansas. He rejoined his wife of 64 years who had passed away two and a half months before him.
Thomas is survived by his children, Thomas M. (Ruby), Pocatello, Idaho; Karleen (Klyne) Nelson, South Jordan, Utah; James (Dixie), West Valley City, Utah; and Brenda (John) Frazier, Atlanta, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and sister, Norma Romig, Brigham City, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home Chapel, 4335 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing Saturday one hour prior to the services at Valley View Funeral Home. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
