Norma Ruby Denkers Romig
12/21/1919 - 11/13/2014
Norma Ruby Denkers Romig, age 94, died on November 13, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She lived her life following the motto "Pray as if everything depends upon the Lord and then work as if everything depends upon you." She was an example of faithful prayer and loving service throughout her life. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in countless callings and capacities throughout her years. She introduced her sweetheart, Ralph Dunsmore Romig, to the church and he was baptized in 1939. Norma and Ralph were married August 6, 1940 in Pocatello, Idaho, and were sealed in the Logan Temple the following May. She served with her husband in the Atlanta Georgia Temple Mission. Family and genealogy were everything to Norma. She was a devoted mother and adoring grandmother, loved by everyone who knew her. She was a brilliant poet, sharing her testimony of prayer, family, love and work through her writing. Her favorite way to spend time was visiting with family, and she'd reward visitors in her home with an all-day sucker from her well-loved sucker tree. We love you Norma, honor bright!
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Richard) Pocock; sons, Gary (Eloise) Romig, Brent (Suzanne) Romig and Mark (Nancy) Romig, 25 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
