CHAPIN - Services for Wilbur Lee Derrick will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church 400 River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.

Mr. Derrick died Monday, February 16, 2004. Born in Richland County he was the son of the late John Wingard and Mary Weed Derrick. He was a member of St Michael's Lutheran Church. He was retired from the Columbia Post Office and he was World War II veteran.

He is survived by wife, Helen Shealy Derrick; two daughters and son-in-law Pat D. and Steve Blackwell of Chapin Barbara D. (Bobbie) Hartley of Columbia; sisters, Ethel Adair of Spartanburg, and Alice Hite of West Columbia; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
