Mrs. Grace Wymond Braun passed away at her home on Elm street Saturday, Nov. 13. She was born in Lawrenceburg April 1, 1877, the daughter of William W. and Laura Harding Wymond and was a descendent of one of the oldest families of the community. She was the wife of Philip C. Braun, who passed away five years ago.
Mrs. Braun was closely affiliated with the social life of this city having held membership in many of its organizations. She had been a member of the St. Selica Music Society, the Review club, Parent-Teachers, the Erthstane Literary Society, several of which she served as president. She was also a member of the Library board for many years.
Her sympathic understanding and warm genuine interest in those with whom she came in contact, endeared her to everyone and she will be greatly missed, not only by a wide circle of friends but by the entire community.
Although her activities were many and varied, she found relaxation in her garden working among her flowers and happiness in her complete devotion to her family.
She is survived by two sons, Philip Wymond of Cincinnati, John Frederick who is a member of Lawrenceburg City Coouncil, and Mrs. Sarah Francis Dober of Lawrenceburg. One son, Robert Manning, preceded his mother in death in 1927. She also leaves five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Fitch funeral home Tuesday with the Rev. O. K. Malone of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in Greendale.
