A native of Laurel County, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Rachael Elliott Brannon.
She was a former teacher in Laurel County, and for a number of years was Post Mistress of the Boreing Kentucky Post Office.
She was a graduate of Cumberland College, and a member of the McHargue Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, William C.
DeWeese, Lexington, and Jack L. DeWeese, Terre Haute, IN.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral 1 p.m. Monday at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne B. Smith.
Burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
