Son of Leroy Brannon and Emma Harmon
Husband of Rachel Elliott
Lee owned and operated the Branon Mill on Robinson Creek in Laurel County, Kentucky. This had been one of the original McHargue family mills.
After Lee's death, the family kept the mill for a while but it was eventually moved to what is now the Mill House inside Levi Jackson Park. Lee's mill is still functional and is a wonderful and historic attraction for visitors at the park. The initials "J. F. B." are carved into the wood, believed to have been left by his son James Franklin Branon.
