ORTONVILLE, Minn. -
Funeral Services for Miranda Redfield will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville. Pastor Marlene Elmstrom will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the Clinton City Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Miranda's grandsons: Bruce Redfield, Russ Redfield, Loren Redfield, Chris Redfield, Daniel Hollar, Dennis Hollar and Douglas Hollar. Honorary pallbearers will be Miranda's granddaughters: Tami Marr, Teri Wegner, Jodi Karsky, Audrea Buller and Kelsey Anderson, and also the Day of Love quilting ladies of First English Lutheran Church.
Miranda died on Monday, March 30, 2009, at Northridge Residence in Ortonville, having lived to reach the age of 92 years.
Miranda is survived by her two sons: Merwyn "Merv" and wife Jan of Alexandria Minn., and Dewayne "Punk" and wife Sharen of Graceville, Minn.; two daughters: Arlene "Sis" and husband Bill Hollar of Charles City and Patsy Redfield of Eden Prairie, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 15 great great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind, sisters: Dewona Amberg of Ortonville, Minn., Delyla Kraines of Minnetonka, Minn.; brothers-in-law: Edwin Redfield of Red Wing, Minn., and Hartzel Sorenson, of Redwood Falls, Minn.; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Mathison, Irene Mathison, Ragna Redfield, Marge Redfield and Pauline Redfield; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorials preferred to Rice Memorial Hospice.
Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville is in charge of arrangements.
