Esther C. "Peg" Thatcher, 95, of the Toulon Health Care Center in Toulon, IL, formerly of Princeville, died Friday, May 21, 1993, at the center.
Born June 17, 1897, in Monica to Milton L. and May Belle Moffitt Hill, she married John "Jack" Thatcher on April 8, 1917, in Monica. He died Nov. 7, 1973. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one sister, Ethel Sniff of LaCrosse, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Princeville United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hammitt Funeral Home. The Rev. David H. Allin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery .
