BROTHER OF BLOOM TOWNSHIP MAN DIES

Fred L. Drake, lifelong resident of Tiffin and Seneca county, died suddenly at 10:30 p.m. Friday in his home in Tiffin. He was a brother of Marion Drake of west of Bloomville.
Although he suffered from poor health since January, 1939, his condition had not been considered serious and he was able to be up and around and appeared as well as usual the day before his death, which resulted from a cerebal hemorrhage.
Mr. Drake was born near Melmore and was a son of William and Alice Drake. He was married in 1915 to Miss Hazel Gahris and is survived by his wife, one son, Charles F., at home, and three brothers, Dr. C.J. Drake, Ames, Ia., Chalmer Drake, Tiffin and Marion Drake, near Bloomville. Mr. Drake was a member of the Elks and the Jr. O.U.A.M. He was formerly employed for many years by the Webster Manufacturing Company and more recently had been the proprietor of the Habit Cigar Store.
Funeral services were to be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the L.G. Keller funeral home. Interment was in Rock Creek cemetery.
