She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Baxter was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Marietta, and was one of the founding members of Cherry Log Christian Church in Cherry Log, Georgia. Mrs. Baxter worked in the Kennestone Hospital Labor and Delivery Department for 20 years.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jon Holcombe of Ellijay, Georgia, and Cheryl and James Scroggins of Douglasville, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by her husband Charles Washington Baxter.
Funeral Services in Marietta, GA will be at 3:00pm on Wednesday August 25th, 2010 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Graveside interment followed at the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
