Mrs. Melvin Andrews, Sugar Creek Succumbs
Mrs. Melvin Andrews, 36, died at Mercy hospital in St. Joseph at 11 a.m. today after an extended illness. She was a life-long member of the Sugar Creek community in Missouri and before her marriage was Miss Ada Church.
Surviving are her husband and three children, Kenneth, 17, Beverly, 14 and Donna, nine years old. Mrs. Andrews underwent an operation about a year ago. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Christian church and of the Valley Chapel extension club.
Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon. Sawin & Douglass is in charge.

Pallbearers at the funeral services at Sugar Creek Christian church in Missouri this afternoon for Mrs. Ada Church Andrews, wife of Melvin Andrews of that community, were Jack Patton, H. Andrews, Ed Lawrence, Marion Jones, Elmer Moore and H. C. Page. The Rev. Presley Gordon officiated and burial was in the Sugar Creek cemetery. Mrs. Andrews died Monday at Mercy hospital in St. Joseph after an extended illness. Sawin & Douglass was in charge of arrangements.
