He was born June 18, 1939, in Bloomington, the son of George E. and Myrtle E. Cremeens Sanderson. He married Marilyn Sidell on Sept. 30, 1962, in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife of Delavan; his mother-in-law, Etta Sidell of Pekin; one daughter, Tracie (Steve) McConnell of Delavan; one son, Dennis (April) Sanderson of Sandwich; four grandchildren, Brian, Gina and Erin McConnell and Amanda Sanderson; three sisters, Mary (Robert) Glass of Morton, Jessie Jones of Claremont, Fla., and Mary Lou Leninger of Mason City; and one brother, George (Wilma) Sanderson of North Glen, Colo.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Goeken.
Billy worked as a self-employed masonry contractor in the Delavan area.
He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of Prairie Bible Church in Delavan.
Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan.
