After several weeks illness, Mrs. Sarah Beyer passed away in Dr. Reils' hospital in Palmer Monday evening, May 3, where she had been taken the latter part of last week. She succumbed to a severe attack of quinsy.

Sarah Christine was the second youngest daughter of the departed John A. Miller and his wife Albertine nee Hoffmann. She was born on a farm some miles northeast of Worms on April 20, 1893, and baptized in Zion Lutheran Church at Worms on May 28, 1893 by Pastor F. Duever. In her youth she received instruction in the chief parts of the Christian doctrine and was confirmed on Palm Sunday, April 8, 1906 by the Rev. Konrad Jahn. When her parents retired from the farm and moved to Palmer, she came with them and has been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church ever since, and also a member of St. John's Ladies Aid.

On October 9, 1917 she was married to John Beyer at Kearney, Nebr. This marriage union the Lord blessed with one daughter, Frances.

Besides her husband, John Beyer, and daughter Frances, she is survived by three brothers, namely Ferdinand H. Miller, Palmer, August Miller, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and John Miller, Palmer, and five sisters, namely Mrs. Elizabeth Otto, Ravenna, Mrs. Susanna Thede, Worms, Mrs. Julia Rupphoff, Grand Island, Mrs. Amalie Ernst, Schuyler, and Mrs. Emma Krause, Oklahoma City, and numerous more distant relatives and friends.
