Galesburg, IL - Grace E. Johnson, 86, of 1250 W. Carl Sandburg Drive died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1992, at Rosewood Care Center.
Born Sept. 13, 1906, in Galesburg to William and Etta Fooks Canfield, she married Merrill Johnson on June 2, 1926, in Peoria. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving are two nephews, William Adams of Oneida and Charles Adams of Palatine; and one niece, Lois Bowman of Waterloo, Iowa.
A graduate of Western Ilinois University, she taught school for several years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Galesburg.
Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery.
