They had four children. Jane died in 1862. Then John married Delia (Chase) King, the daughter of Alvin Chase and Phebe Ward; they married on June 1, 1892. Delia was born in Raisinville, MI on July 20, 1829. They lived in Cone, MI where John was a manufacturer of staves, heading and brick tile. His children with Jane M. Reynolds were Horace Cornelius, Marian E., born 16 Jun 1858, married 9 Jun 1875, Ypsilanti, Washtenaw, MI to Philip Smith, Walter L. Cone born 3 Apr 1860, and Daniel T. Cone born 4 Mar 1862. Walter was the only child to stay in the area. John was married a total of five times: Mary Jane Gray who died in 1853, Jane M.
