He married Ruthie L Weldon 8 August 1909. She was born 24 August 1893 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Arthur Weldon and Josephine Ophelia Ashley.
In 1910, the couple lived in the Chandler Community in Etowah County. They lived in the Liberty Community, Blount County in 1920. In 1930 they lived in the Baileyton Community. Homer and his family lived in the Campbell’s Community when the 1940 Census was taken.
Homer died 7 May 1979 in Altoona. Ruthie died 22 June 1982 in Hartselle, Morgan County, Alabama. They are buried in the Wynville Cemetery, Blount County, Alabama. They were the parents of nine Children.
