Daughter of John Henry Dorsey (1816-1904) & first wife, Sarah Denny Dorsey, who died in SC ca 1844 (burial site unknown). Mary Jane had only one full sibling, Joshua Denny Dorsey

Second wife of John Henry Dorsey was Sarah Reed (1818-1910); they had eleven children.

Burial sites of John Henry Dorsey and Sarah Reed Dorsey are unknown.

Additional information on their fifth child, Mary Savannah McArthur Millis, is included in BIO of Jonathan's memorial.
