Fayetteville – Vance A. Marsh, 57, Gray’s Creek farmer, died in a local hospital Thursday afternoon.
He was a deacon of Cape Fear Baptist Church, a member of the Ruritan Club, and a former member of the Democratic County Executive Committee. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcus L. Marsh. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Tyson Marsh; four sons, Allen, J.V., Wilson and Franklin; two brothers, Byrd and Pogue Marsh; three sisters, Mrs. Cleveland Pate, Mrs. Grady Tyson and Mrs. George McArthur and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 4:30 at Cape Fear Baptist Church.
