DIES AT GARVIN

Mrs. Alice Hannah Coffey, widow
of the late D.R. Coffey, died at 2:40
p.m. Tuesday at her home at Gar-
vin. She was 76 years old.

Born August 29, 1870, in North
Carolina, she had resided in McCur-
tain county since 1908, moving from
Texas. She had been a member of
the Church of Christ for the past 25
years.

She is survived by five sons,
Henry, Dillard, Sam, Oscar, and Odis
Coffey, all of Garvin; four daugh-
ters, Miss Ophenia Coffey, Miss
Nellie Coffey, Mrs. G.H. Helms, and
Mrs. Claud Logan, all of Garvin;
three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Howell,
North Carolina; Mrs. Julia Bell,
Crowell, Tex., and Mrs. Cora Harri-
son, Gracemont; one half-sister, Mrs.
Fannie Coffey, Little Rock; four
half-brothers, Ed, John, Bascom and
Jud Harron, all of North Carolina;
28 grandchildren, and eight great
grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled
for 2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday)
at Forest Hill church with Rev. W.
W. Starnes officiating. Arrange-
ments and burial in Forest Hill
cemetery are under direction of Wil-
son funeral home.
