ALEXANDRIA,Ind.--Omer R. Pierce, 704 W. Washington St., died at his home Monday after an extended illness. He retired from Ball Corp. in Muncie 11 years ago. He attended Lilly Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Erlene; two sons, L. Gene Pierce, Alexandria, and G. Dean Pierce, Anderson; a daughter, Sue May, Alexandria; a brother, Ray Pierce, Bedford; two sisters, Lilly Baledge, Alexandria, and Emma Montgomery, Lake City, Ark.; three half-brothers, Harold and Ralph Pierce, both of Muncie, and L.J. Pierce, Pensacola, Fla.; a half-sister, Delma Aranas, Muncie, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Noffze Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
