Funeral services for E. W. Alsip were held at 2:30 o;clock this afternoon in the United Presbyterian Church in Columbus City. The Rev. John T. Aiken officiated and burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery. Mr. Alsup was born June 26, 1876 in Ogden, IL. son of Hardin Thomas "Richard" Alsup and Charlotte Minerva Stringfield. He was married April 12, 1900 to Miss Eleanor Jane McCracken. Surviving are the widow and four children, Minerva Chambers, Minor Wallace Alsip, Irene Myers and Frances Hawkins and two brothers and one sister. (Reba's note: According to my records, Edward had 2 brothers living, John William Alsip and James Ephraim Alsip; 1 half-brother, Roy Waldo Alsip and 1 half-sister, Daisy DeGrace)
