Pronounced dead on arrival at Jane Lamb Hospital in Clinton, Iowa was a passenger on one of the cycles, James Abbott, son of Neal A. Abbott and Karen (Baker) Abbott Groh.
William Graham, 16, of Camanche, the driver of the other cycle, was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital.
Released after treatment were Morse Goodell, 16, of Camanche; Harlow Henningsen, 15, of Camanche; and Mrs. Lynn Marie Wilson, 19, of Clinton.
Police said Goodell and Graham were driving motorcycles which apparently went out of control as they crossed the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad tracks. The Goodell cycle struck a car driven by Mrs. Wilson, police said.
Abbott was a passenger on the Goodell motorcycle. Henningsen was a passenger on the Graham motorcycle.
