Mrs. Aurelius R. Potts, 55, died Saturday at the home, 644 Charles Street, following a year's illness. She had been seriously ill six months. Mrs. Potts was born in Grant county, Indiana, October 3, 1882 to John and Ceatta Butler and was married January 25, 1902. Surviving are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Nelson Stern, of Jackson township; four grandchildren, Annetta Rose Stern, Leon Stern, Darl Stern and Rex Stern. Seven brothers and two sisters also survive. They are Perry Butler, Otto Butler, Royal Butler, Nathan Butler, Earnest Butler, Robert Butler, Edward Butler, Mrs. Witmer Trout and Mrs. Pearl Rinearson, all of Grant county. She was a member of the United Brethren Church, East Franklin and Guilford streets. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. The Rev. George R. Crane, pastor of the First U. B. church will officiate and burial will be in the Lancaster cemetery. (Huntington Herald-Press, Huntington, Indiana, Sunday, August 28, 1938)
