Aurelius R. Potts, 74, a life-long resident of Huntington county, died at 10 p.m. Friday at the Huntington County hospital, where he was taken Thursday from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nelson Stern of Clear Creek township. He had been seriously ill six days and in failing health five years. Potts was born February 14, 1881, in Lancaster township to Anderson and Charllotte Fisher Potts. Survivors are a daughter Mrs. Nelson (Ruby) Stern, Clear Creek township; four grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Stouffer, Wabash county, Darl E. Stern, Rock Creek township, Leon J. Stern, of this city, and Rex A. Stern, stationed with the Armed Forces in New York City; one great-granddaughter, Darlene Stern; and two sisters Mrs. George Paul and Mrs. Roy Hacker, both of Lancaster township. Deceased are two brothers, Jessie and Ira Potts. Potts, for several years, a resident at 335 West Park Drive, formerly was employed by Elks Lodge No. 805 of which he was a member. The body was removed to the Robbins funeral home, where the Elks Lodge will hold twilight services at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ivan R. Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster cemetery.
