Friday saw the passing away of one of the best known farmers of the northern part of the township. Henry Brown. His ailment was catarrhal fever. The deceased was born in Harrietsham, Kent, England, March 27,1826, and he therefore lacked but 12 days of 69 years of age. In 1847 he came to Scottsville, Monroe Co., N.Y., where he resided until the autumn of 1850 when he came to Michigan. In 1860 he settled upon the place where he lived until his death. The funeral was held Monday, Rev. J. Fletcher officiating. Mr. Brown leaves a wife and four sons.
