He and his wife, Gloria Dawn Horst Adams, were married 38 years in June.
Adams worked at the former F.W. Woolworth Distribution Center in Denver for 19 years until retiring recently.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in the Korean War.
He was a member of the Reamstown Athletic Club.
Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Frank and Arlene Harlinger Adams.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Brian K., husband of Janis Austin Adams of Ephrata and Bruce V., husband of Linda Haspe Adams of Tamaqua; two daughters, Brenda G. of Martindale and Beverly A., wife of Brian Gallagher of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma, wife of Kenneth Kneisley of Mountville, Shirley Smith of Ephrata and Eileen, wife of George Burnette of Baltimore; and two brothers, Vernon, husband of Alice Adams of Ephrata and Glenn, husband of Carol Adams of Mount Joy."
