'Son of Robert W Wallace & Margaret Chasten Wallace.
Enlisted on 28 Apr 1861 in Duplin County, NC into "E" Co, NC 30th Infantry as a Private.
Died from disease on 11 Mar 1863 at Hamilton's Crossing, Virginia. His body was returned home and buried in the Wallace Family Cemetery, Duplin County, NC
On 3 May 1863 his brother, PVT William Thomas Wallace was killed in action at Chancellorsville, VA. He was buried on the battlefield. An epitaph for William is written on the same headstone along with Robert's. William is buried at Confederate Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg City, Virginia.'

Enlisted as Private on 28 Aug 1861 and mustered into "E" Company 30th Regt, NC Troops C.S.A. After he was wounded on 27 Jun 1862 he was hospitalized and then furloughed. He returned to service on 1 Jan 1863. He was killed in action in the Battle of Chancellorsville, Virginia on 3 May 1863. He was buried on the battlefield. His marker is located in the Confederate Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg City, Virginia, Section 13, Row 2, Grave 16.
He also has an epitaph on the same headstone as his brother Robert Chasten Wallace, in the Wallace Family Cemetery in Duplin County, NC'
