George Sherry, an aged resident of Barr township, died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Peter Farabaugh, Tuesday morning at 4 o'clock of diseases incident to old age.
The deceased was born in France, March 10, 1822, and came to this country when but 8
years of age. He was united in marriage with Catherine Zloery in 1848.
The following children survive: John of New Castle; Geo. of Altoona; Mrs. Melchoir Boslet of Altoona; Mrs. Albert Boslet of Carroll township; Mrs. Peter Farabaugh, Carroll township; Michael,
McKees Rocks and William, of Altoona.
The funeral took place Thursday morning from
the church at St. Benedict, interment being in the church cemetery.
