Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Casander Bilyeu, 80, of Cookeville, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, September 13, 2000, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. Terry Geren officiating. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery with Whitson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bilyeu, retired from the Putnam County School System, died Monday, September 11, 2000, at her home.
Born May 22, 1920, in Byrdstown, she was the daughter of the late Walter Maldon and Marzettie Lee (Cross) Sims. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bilyeu, and a brother, Doyle Sims.
She was a member of the Wilhite Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Doris Bilyeu, Cookeville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Russ and Jo Ann Steel, Betty Sue and Roger Holloway, and Linda and Mike Williams, all of Cookeville, and Carol and Kelly Wasmund, Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Jenny Fair, Murray, KY, and Ioline Ford, Monroe; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
