Deatherage Rites

Services for Delbert Deatherage, 52, Route 1, Cosby, will be Thursday at 10 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Hurlinger, the Rev. Clifford B. Healy officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel. Born and reared in Agency, Mr. Deatherage died Tuesday morning (28 Nov 1978) at a local hospital following a short illness.

A farmer who resided in Cosby the past 19 years, Mr. Deatherage was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, a charter member of the Cosby Lions Club and a veteran of World War II.

Services for Delbert Deatherage, 52, of Cosby MO, will be Thursday morning at 10 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Hurlinger, Mo. The Rev. Clifford B. Healy will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel.

Mr. Deatherage, a farmer, was born and raised in Agency MO, but was a resident of Cosby for 19 years.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma C. Deatherage of the home; four sons, Colin D. Deatherage, Kansas City MO; Daryl D. Deatherage, Cosby, and Gary L. Deatherage and Galen L. Deatherage, both of the home; two daughters, Cheryl D. Angst, Agency, and Kimberly A. Deatherage of the home; his father, Paul D. Deatherage, Agency; two brothers, Donald E. Deatherage Faucett MO; and Leo Dewayne Deatherage of St. Joseph; four sisters, Dorothy W. Dittemore, Scottsdale AZ, Doreen Whetstine, Troy KS, Delores W. Rumpf, Agency, and Deanna M. Holmes of St. Joseph, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Deatherage died Tuesday at a local hospital.
