Edna Huddleston daughter of David and Edna Huddleston married Uriah Anderson about 1849. To this union children were born: Brooks, Martha, Matilda, William Ernest, Jane, Green and Milton Anderson. Uriah died between 1860-1865. Edna married Ruben Hammers October 1865 in St. Francois County, Missouri. She was his 2nd wife. Ruben had children from his 1st marriage to Emelina Zolman. To Ruben and Edna three children that are known were born: Thomas Sherman, Dicy Carolyn and David Hammers/Hammors. Ruben died 01/16/1880 from heart disease and consumption. Edna then married Tandy C Haynes 09/15/1881 in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri. Tandy left her and she went back to Hammers/Hammors name. She applied for Ruben's Civil War Pension and that is how their children's names are verified. Hammer family information from LDS Library. See "The Civil War in St. Francois CO, Missouri, United States, Co F, 47th Missouri, United States Vol. INf." Researcher: Bob SchmidtThe mother of my great-great-grandmother, Matilda "Tillie" Anderson, Edna (or Edney) married:

(1) Uriah Anderson

(2) Reuben "Rube" Hammers/Hammors/Hamors

(3) Tandy C. Hanes

Her parents MAY have been David and Edna Huddleston of Stoddard Co. and Dunklin Co., MO...but I've seen no proof, yet.

They do seem likely, but...

Edna and Uriah had at least three kids reach adulthood:

(1) Brooks N. Anderson

(2) Martha Tabitha Anderson Johnson

(3) Matilda "Tillie" Anderson Shoults

Edna and Rube had at least three kids to do the same:

(1) Thomas Sherman Hammers

(2) Dicey Caroline Hammers Keeling

(3) David Hammers

...Evidently they DO come in threes.

Among (I've no doubt) other spellings, the Hammers surname is also seen as "Hammors" and "Hamors."
