Death At Lutheran Hospital Follows Illness Of Two Weeks
Mrs. Otto Bauermeister , 33, well-known in Tocsin and community, died at the Lutheran hospital at Ft. Wayne at 1:30 o'clock this morning, of heart trouble, which developed following influenza and pneumonia.
Mrs. Bauermeister, who had been at the hospital about two weeks, seriously ill with pneumonia, was improving nicely during the last few days and her death came as a shock to relatives and friends.
She was born northeast of Tocsin and at her death was aged 33 years, three months and 15 days. She had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grewe, northwest of Tocsin, since a small girl.
Surviving beside the husband is one daughter, Mildred, age 7. Two sons and one daughter are deceased.
Four brothers also survive. They are Gustave Rutz and William Rutz of Ft. Wayne; Albert Rutz of Waynedale; Emile of Chicago. An aunt, Mrs. Katie Turk, resides at Chicago.
Following short funeral services at the home northeast of Tocsin at 1:15 o'clock Saturday afternoon, services will be conducted at the Bethlehem Lutheran church of which she was a member, at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. Carl Strausburg will officiate. Burial in the church cemetery.
