Funeral services for Frances Nadine Goins of West Linn will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holman, Hankins, Bowker & Wand Funeral Home in Oregon City. Private entombment will be in Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum. She died Thursday at an Oregon City hospital at the age of 78. She was born on October 12, 1914 in Arkansas City, Kansas to David Alpha and Lissie Mae (Russell) Dillow. She married Absolem Goins on April 28, 1934 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and the couple moved to the West Linn area in 1941. She and her husband had owned and operated Goins Nursery for many years. Her husband died on July 31, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Goins, on April 22, 1991. Survivors include her son, David Allen Goins of West Linn; her sisters, Jessie Augusta Brady of Gladstone, Ethel Marie Pendergraft and Gladys Valo Wright, both of Milwaukie, and Maxine Thelander of Ocean Park, Washington; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
