Miss Elsie Bachtold
Miss Elsie Leona Bachtold, 76, 1810 Pennsylvania Ave., died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday at Oak Hill Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks.
Miss Bachtold was born Mar 28, 1897, at Sarcoxie. She retired from the Gas Service Co. in 1962, after working there for 38 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had been financial secretary since 1965.
survivors include three brothers, Lloyd Bachtold, Albert Bachtold and Royce Bachtold, all of Sarcoxie; and five sisters, Mrs. E. C. Murk, Orange, Calif., Mrs. May Glenn, Sarcoxie, Mrs. Esther Brewer, 1810 Pennsylvania Ave., Mrs. Susanne Worington and Miss Ernestine Bechtold, both of Sarcoxie.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist church. The Rev. Don Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Harmon, Jess Hemingway, Jan Tupper, Ollie Lundh, J. P. Pim and Ken Ragsdale.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church.
