Abraham (Abe) (Ocesaco) Gooden went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20th, 2010 at the age of 81. He was born February 12th, 1929 in Calvin, OK to George Gooden and Katie (McCosar) Gooden. Abe is preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, one son and one daughter. He is survived by six daughters; Phyllis Gooden of Florida, Laquita Jumper of Florida, Geneva Gooden of Arizona, Georgina Gooden, Jolene Gooden and Iris Gooden of Oklahoma; 16 Grandchildren & 29 Great-Grandchildren. Abe served in the Marines for a short time. He retired from Cudahy Packing Company in Wichita, KS. Abe was a full blood Muskogee (Creek) Indian. He belonged to the Bird Clan. He is a member of the Many Springs Baptist Church. He spoke native language fluently. Abe was a father who not only raised his six daughters but was a father figure to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. His hobbies were fishing, traveling, attending rodeo's, speaking his native language and relaxing on his front porch with a cup of coffee. Serving as pallbearers will be; Brian Gooden, Chebon Gooden Harden Naha Jumper, Josh Jumper, Happy Jumper, Thomeray Hulbutta, Michael Villa, Joaquin Gooden, Randy Jones, Marcus Villa, Ben Billie, Thomas Billie & Moses Jumper, Jr. Serving as flower girls will be; Boogie Jumper, Andrea Jumper, Resha Doctor, Nicole Yeahpau, MariKate Hulbutta, Michelle Corpus, Stacie Villa, Lydia Amaro & Zulema Corpus. Wake services will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at Many Springs Church. Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Many Springs Baptist Church with Jimmy Anderson and Eddie Gooden officiating. Interment will follow in the McCosar Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hudson Phillips Funeral Home, Holdenville, OK.
