Carl Otis Heffington, Jr. 68 of Antioch, Tennessee went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 19, 2010. He was born January 19, 1942 in North Little Rock to the late Carl Otis Heffington, Sr. and Opal Shock Heffington.
He was a Public Librarian and co-founder of Iglesia de Cristo of San Lorenzo el Cubo, Guatemala.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Claire Stapleton Heffington, two daughters, Heather Bates and her husband Tony of Nashville, Tennessee and Elizabeth "Beth" Heffington of Nashville, one brother Tommy Joe Heffington of Marietta, South Carolina, sister Lois Brown and her husband Ivy of Greenbrier and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Bates.

Services are 3 p.m. Monday August 23, 2010 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial in Heffington Cemetery with Ronald L. Powell and Pablo Molina officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Toms River Church of Christ, 5049 Smith Springs Parkway, Antioch, TN 37013 for the Mission effort in Guatemala.
