Lorinda Brown was born 7 Apr 1866 in Ripley County, IN of unproven parents.

By 1870 her parents had apparently passed and she and her sister Lucinda lived with Priscilla Bright in Ripley County. Priscilla may have been their maternal grandmother, having had a daughter, Elizabeth, who married one Benjamin Brown.

In the 1880 Census, Lucinda was a servant living with the Charles Culver family, and Lucinda had been adopted by the Conrad Risinger family.

Lorinda married Bateman Hutson of Ripley Co, IN on 13 Feb 1890 in Union County.
Their son Earl was born in Ripley County in late 1890, and then the family moved to Brookston, White Co, IN where their twins were born in 1891. They lived in Brookston for the remainder of their lives and their descendants live there still.

2 twin Baby Girl Hutson 1891-1891
3 twin Ida M. Hutson 1891–1903; Died of diphtheria.
4 Henry Ward Beecher Hutson 1893–1970, known as Beecher, moved to Nebraska, never married.
5 Clifford Elsworth "Bood" Hutson, Sr 1896–1958, h/o Alta Ada Gipson
6 George Hutson B: 1904 found only in 1910 Ccensus
7 Ruth Hutson c.1900–1963; Aged 10 in 1910, 17 in 1920, 55 at death - kept getting younger), w/o Harold Haskins.

Rites Conducted at Church BROOKSTON, Ind., Dec. 31 — Funeral rites were to be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Brookston Federated church. Rev. C. A. Mitchell officiating, burial in the local I.O.O.F. Cemetery, for Mrs. Lorinda Hutson, 72, life-long resident of Brookston, who passed away at her home Friday afternoon. The deceased, the wife of Bateman Hutson, was a member of the local Baptist church. Surviving are the husband, a
daughter, Mrs. Harold Haskins of Chalmers; and three sons, Earl of Brookston. Clifford E. of BattleGround, and Henry W. B. of Alliance, Nebraska.
