Services Held For Mary Alice O'Neill

Funeral services were held here Thursday 2 p.m. July 13 for Mary Alice O'Neill, 87. of Yoakum Route 3. Rev. Frank Hollan and Rev. Rufus Ramsey officiating at Buffington Chapel and County Line Cemetery near Terryville.
Surviving include her husband, W. M. O'Neill of Yoakum Rt. 3; five sons, Leon and Ewell of Wichita Falls; Eugene of Washington D.C.; Douglas and Loyd of Yoakum; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Edgar and Mrs. Fred (Edna Earl) Pigg of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Jake Brower of Eagle Lake; 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Thursday Rites For Mrs. W. M. O'Neill

Mrs. W. M. (Mary Alice) O'Neill, 87 years, 7 months and 9 days old passed away at a local hospital on July 12 at 1:00 a.m. Mrs. O'Neill had been confined to the hospital for three weeks, having had abdominal surgery two weeks prior to her death.
Mrs. O'Neill was born in Dalton, GA. on Dec. 3, 1873. She married W. M. O'Neill Wednesday, October 18, 1893, in Bee County, Texas, almost 68 years ago. To them were born 11 children, 8 of whom are still living. Mr. and Mrs. O'Neill had lived in the Terryville community over 50 years. She had attended Progress Baptist Church until not able to get out. All her children attended County Line School and Mr. and Mrs. O'Neill were among the old settlers to always attend Decoration Day at County Line Cemetery.
The deceased has had two sons, Eugene (US Army) and Loyd US Army Air Corp) to be in the Armed Forces and four grandsons; H. B. (Henry Jr) Edgar (US Army), Charles Clark, Brain O'Neill and David O'Neill are in the Armed Services at the present time.
Surviving Mrs. O'Neill are her husband, five sons, Leon and Ewell of Wichita Falls; Eugene of Washington D.C.; Douglas and Loyd of Yoakum; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Edgar and Mrs. Fred (Edna Earl) Pigg of Houston; and Mrs. Chas. (Nora) Clark of Cuero; 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services were held at Buffington Funeral Home Thursday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Frank Hollan and Rev. Rufus Ramsey officiating. Burial was in County Line Cemetery.
