Mary Allgood


Michigan City – Mrs. Mary I. Allgood, 69, of Michigan City, died Sunday afternoon at the Red Oaks Nursing Home here after an illness of several years.

A native of Bloomington, she was the daughter of Jerome B. Dillman and the former Laura Hemston. She was married there in 1916 to Leslie Allgood, who survives. She had lived at Michigan city for the past 34 years.

Survivors besides the husband are four sons and two daughters, all of Michigan City, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Root Funeral Home in Michigan City, with the Rev. Hilton Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.
