Cecil Austin Breshears was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Digton, Okla., to Claude Thomas and Wilma Ruby Breshears. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1948. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence May Breshears; three sons, Jerry, Kevin, and Cecil 'C.A.' and wife, Caroline, of Leakey; two daughters, Vicky and Robin; one surrogate daughter, Elva Loomis; two brothers, Elmo Breshears of Orange Grove and R.C. Breshears of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Wanda Almon of Oklahoma City and Lorraine Baros of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many friends and cousins. Interment Leakey Floral Cemetery.
