Marian Wilcox Dalton was born Aug. 14, 1921. Marian lost both of her parents as a very young child. She and her brother, Howard S. Wilcox, were raised by their paternal grandmother, Anna Warbinton.
Marian graduated from Short Ridge High School in Indianapolis, and then attended Butler University. While at Butler she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
She is survived by her three children: Jim Dalton, Brad Dalton and his wife Leslie, Kay Simpkins and her husband Randy.
Her grandchildren are Carolyn Dalton, Alexandra Paschal and her husband Brian, Taylor Simpkins, Ryan Simpkins and Cody Simpkins and his wife Melissa. Marian also has three great-grandchildren John Richard and Anne Dalton Paschal and Oliver West Simpkins.
Marian was preceeded in death by her brother Howard S. Wilcox.
Marian resided in Stillwater during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 30 at Crown Hill Cemetery Peace Chapel 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Graveside services to follow.
