Beth was born in Shreveport, LA August 12, 1921 the daughter of the late John Frederick Doerge and Nina Lee Warner Doerge. Beth moved to Liberty in 1945 and later founded and co owned, Allison Funeral Service, Inc. with her late husband Reuben A. Allison. Beth remained a licensed funeral director for over fifty years.
She leaves behind her beloved family, a son Michael A. Allison and wife Susan of Liberty, daughter Scherry A. Allison of Liberty, sister Elinor Mae Lindsey of Kingwood, and a granddaughter Ashley Burton and husband Casey of Dallas.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a granddaughter Lisa Allison.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from five till eight o'clock in the evening at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis, Liberty, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at ten o'clock in the morning at First United Methodist Church, Liberty, Texas. Burial to immediately follow the service in Liberty City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Magnolia Healthcare Center Activity Fund, 1620 Magnolia, Liberty, Texas.
