Life-long resident of Tyrone died at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cupp, 660 Washington avenue, Tyrone at 9:30 p.m. Thursday suffering from a heart attack. He had been in failing health for four years.
Mr. Cupp was born in Centre county 69 years ago, a son of Henry and Eliza (Chronister) Cupp. He married Miss Olive Smith in 1901 who preceded him in death.
Surviving are his four sons; Clair of Cleveland, O., Fred of Juniata; Lee, Warriors Mark and Lawrence at whose home he died; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Branstetter, Mrs. Della Rumbarger, and Mrs. Bessie Gensemer all of Warriors Mark, and Mrs. Irene Nowlin of Tyrone, and 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Cupp was a retired farmer and a Baptist by faith.
The body is at the Glass funeral home in Tryone.
