Miss Mary Adeline Moffett, a former resident of Tyrone and for the past 30 years a resident of Philadelphia, died suddenly aboard a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train at Philadelphia yesterday morning at 11:30 o'clock, following a heart attack. Miss Moffett, who was well known in Tyrone, having visited here every summer with relatives, was enroute to Tyrone for a visit.
Miss Moffett was a daughter of Reuben and Rebecca Moffett and was born at Neff's Mills, Huntingdon county, on May 1, 1865. She is survived by her aged mother and one brother, Allison Moffett, both of Galeton, Pa. She was a sister of the late Mrs. William S. Meredith, of Tyrone.
She was an attendant of the Methodist Episcopal church.
The body will be brought to Tyrone and taken to the home of her niece, Mrs. Harold E. Beringer, 524 West Sixteenth street, where funeral services will be held. Full funeral arrangements have not been completed.
