Adam George THIRSTY, son of John Goodmoney THIRSTY and Lucy NIX THIRSTY was born April 10, 1918, in Jay and departed this life to be with his Lord on Nov. 15, 1998, at his home in the Rocky Mountain Community at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Adam was married to Willie Mae KINGFISHER in 1956 and to this union were born three children: Deloris, Carolyn and Adam Jr. He was a faithful member of the Johnson Pritchett Baptist Church in Rocky Mountain Community.
He is preceded in death by both parents, three brothers, Ralph, Redwing and William, and one daughter Sharon Sue THIRSTY.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae of the home; four daughters, Harriett, Deloris and Carolyn of Okla., and Marietta of Ark.; one son, Adam Jr. of Okla.; three step-daughters Wilma, Erma and Phyllis, all of Okla.; four sisters Rachel, Sally, Ella Mae and Edna, all of Okla; 11 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
