Willie Mae Thirsty went to be with her Lord on November 26, 2013 with her loved ones by her side; the daughter of Richard D. Kingfisher and Nancy (Dreadfulwater) McCarter. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she loved her family and cherished all her grandkids and made sure they were never forgotten during the Holidays. Willie Mae enjoyed her church family and cherished all her roles she held as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, WMU, Acteen, and loved to sing and play piano. She found salvation at Cedar Tree; she attended Echota Baptist, Sequoyah Baptist, Sycamore Tree and Rocky Mt. Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Adam G. Thirsty, father Richard Kingfisher, mother Nancy McCarter and step father John McCarter whom she cherished; three brothers Wilburn Eugene, John Henry, JC (Snooks) McCarter, one infant daughter Sharon Sue Thirsty and one step-daughter Harriett Bigpond. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 2, 2013 at Elm Tree Baptist Church with Reverend D.J. McCarter and Reverend Gary Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Reed Culver Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
