Daughter of Warnell C Polk (his damaged headstone transcription has middle initial "L", but my family records show "C")(1832-1882) & Irene Meyers. Clara was one of at least 8 known children born to Warnell and Irene.

One of Clara's siblings (brother), CALVIN WARNELL POLK, was part of the Posse that captured BILLY THE KID in New Mexico.
