Willard Abbett, 94, of 314 A Shelton Ave., Eldon, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 1985. He was born Jan. 21, 1891, in Tuscumbia to Carroll and Nancy Denton Abbett. In 1915 he was married to Abbie Mitchell, who died November 1953. On Oct. 21, 1955, he was married in Jefferson City to Mary Henley, who survives.
Mr. Abbett was a retired farmer and former member of the Tuscumbia IOOF Lodge. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Homer Abbett of Eldon; a daughter, Mrs. Norris (Lou) Waite of Eldon, a sister, Bertha Pyle of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Bunch officiating. Burial was in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
